Someone saves you

Just as quickly as the monstrosity created by the evil Dr. Robotnik appeared before you, you see it being pummeled into scrap metal and eventually exploding. Shielding your eyes from the blast, you hear a voice

"Hello? Are you all right?" the voice asks

"Wait a sec" you think to yourself "I know that voice"

Lowering your arm to take a look, you see someone emerge from the smoky remains of the destroyed machine. The familiar voice speaks again.

"Are you deaf? Come on I asked if you were hurt."

But who was it that saved you?
