Susan managed to burst her way through a thin section of ice, and spat up the water that was in her lungs. Heaving heavily, she realized that she couldn't see any of the others. She then checked herself - somehow, not only had she slipped out of her coat, but the rest of her clothes as well. She looked around - as far as she knew, it looked like Alaska in winter, not that she knew much about it beyond books and movies. She'd come up her to learn about polar bears, artic wolves, and other such magnificent beasts for her fantasy books, not try to survive in the Wilderness.
She began walking, rubbing herself, in an attempt to keep warm, aware that standing still would be deadly.
She then heard something that made her stop. She was being watched by something - something she couldn't see. She then saw a low branch on a tree. Deciding that she needed a weapon, she walked up to it, and began pulling, and tugging.
This caused the large amount of snow up in the tree to fall upon her.
The snow was cold, just as cold as the water she'd escaped from.
