At your miniscule size, the odds of successfully escaping the macro hawk were close to nil. You yelped aloud as the avian shifted his talons a few centimeters forward and knocked you off your feet, falling backwards and between the hawk's toes. A tight sticky substance caught your fall, binding your arms tightly to your sides.
Eew, gross. It took you a moment to place a name to the gunk you were trapped in, but in a few mere moments it was obvious. Almost immediately after, the smell hit your nostrils, nearly making your eyes water.
"I tried to warn you," the hawk murmured from above, a gleeful tone in his voice. "But you just had to run along and get yourself caught in my toe jam. Oh well…"
The hawk rubbed his toes together, before pinching you tightly between them, rubbing the jam over your body like a cocoon. The light was snuffed from your vision, and every breath you took smelled unbearable, a bitter tang washing through your nose.
