Rough landing

You awake and find yourself in pitch black, with a huge feeling like you are falling. You feel like you have a huge hole in your stomach when you hear the sound of a parachute deploying and your fall slowing to a tenth the speed before. You try to move but you can't, and suddenly you hit the ground with a thud, only, you feel something other than ground. Suddenly you look up, and the walls of the crate you were apparently in folded out, exposing you to the desert sun... where did you land? You look around and see what looks like South central Africa, in a savannah somewhere. You are still struggling to break free of the ropes tying your arms to the crate when...
