You pondered for a second over which family member you could entice Julie to become before you settled on being your mother. Julie was already like a sister in the sense that she was a close female friend, so this would be more interesting.
You told Julie your new identity and removed the wig.
"So, do you feel any different?" You asked.
"Look, honey, I don't quite get exactly what sort of prank you're trying to pull but I have no idea what you're talking about."
You considered what to say next. With a bit of hesitation, you started, "Okay... mom?"
"Yes? What is it? Do you have something you need to tell me?"
It had worked. Julie thought she was your mother. Even better, Julie had fallen into the role perfectly and immediately, not even beign aware of their prior conversation.
"You know I'm here for you whenever you need to talk, okay honey?"
"Yes, mom."
Julie smiled and gave a trite, motherly peck on her former boyfriend's cheek. "Now, anyway, I need to go watch the next episode of my soaps." Julie then went into the direction of your own mother's room. It might be interesting, if volatile, to see how the pair react to each other. Or you could test the wig out on some other participants.
