For some reason, you find yourself drawn to the musty old books piled high on seemingly every available surface. While there's no way you can read—or indeed even reach—all of them, selecting a pile at random produces several interesting titles. Apparently a matched set, the three massive books bear labels of inlaid gold across dark leather.
The first is called "Tome of Restored Potential," and a cardstock label slipped inside the front cover promises that the reader will be able to "Replay the game of life with a different hand."
The second is called "Tome of New Perspectives" and a similar slip of cardstock promises the reader an opportunity to "explore the diversity of human culture and experience."
The last book in the stack is called the "Tome of Dreams Realized" and the card accompanying it promises "Instant gratification of one's most essential desires."
While the claims are certainly outlandish, even for some kind of exotic self-help book, you nevertheless decide that you should at least look inside and see what they have to say. But which one should you open?
