"Of course." Shadow said retracting his hand. "Since when did you and Amy become such great friends?"
"Things happened and we found some common ground. It just grew from there."
Just then Amy returned with the tea. "Here you are Rouge."
"Thank you Amy. Shadow would you like to stay for tea?" Rouge asked asking as innocently as possible.
"No. I must retire or the evening. Good night Rouge."
"Shadow you're not going to that ratty apartment again are you?" Rouge pouted.
"Considering it's my home, yes I am." Shadow replied a little insulted.
"Why don't you stay here tonight?" Rouge offered
"Hmm... I could use this opportunity to learn more about Rouge's plans for that ring and find out what she knows." Shadow thought. "Well I hate to see a pretty lady beg. I'll stay for the night."
"Wonderful. Amy make sure everything's in order won't you?" Rouge asked offering Shadow some tea.
"Of course Rouge." Amy replied.
"Perfect. Now I have all night to discover Shadow's dirty little secrets. Good thing I had Amy spike the tea with..."
