This choice: ...the ability to swap people's bodies. • Go Back... Somehow, Steven knew exactly what he was now capable of, and he was giddy with excitement. The hardest part was hiding it from Natalie and Becky under a facade of remorse for the old man who had 'blessed' him with his new power. "Then again..." he wondered whether it might be fun to share this new power with somebody. He looked at Natalie, she had always been fun to be around, but they had never really been 'close', and she was too concerned with herself most of the time. But he didn't hold that against her, not everyone was the same.
Glancing to Becky, she gave him a warm smile. Now here was a girl who had always made time to give him a hug or a smile, for a teenager she was a particularly caring person. And a big plus was that she was cute, both in body and looks, the braces on her teeth made her particularly adorable. "Are you okay?" Becky asked him, and Steven just nodded. "Yep, I'll be fine!" he said...patting her right hand.
"I need to pee!" Natalie suddenly blurted out, getting to her feet and quickly exiting the tea room...heading to the ladies toilets. This gave Steven the perfect opportunity to talk to Becky. He turned to her...and took a deep breath.
"Becky...listen real good, I'm not bullshitting you here. I...I've been given a really special power!" he started explaining. "That old man I told you about, before he died he gave me the power to swap people's bodies!" he said, knowing how ridiculous it sounded.
"What are you talking about Stevie?" Becky laughed.
Closing his eyes for a moment, Steven groaned in frustration. "I can swap bodies with people...at least...I think I can, or I can swap two other people into each other's bodies" he persisted. "Er...I think you've been watching too many Disney films!" Becky giggled, nudging Steven in his arm, in effect telling him to stop talking crap.
"I know it sounds stupid, but its true, I can feel it!" Steven told her, a serious expression etched on his face.
After a few more moments, Becky's playful grin slowly disappeared and she decided to 'amuse' Steven. "Okay, I believe you!" she lied, trying to keep a straight face as Natalie re-entered the room. Becky then leaned in towards Steven and told him to...
