How about this beginning?.

Maybe a weirder beginning is in order, instead of what we've had so far. The old man's 'abilities' had been given to him by an alien race who had been sent to Earth to observe what other races would do with such powers. The powers, now transferred to Steven, are extremely addictive once used to satisfy one's own sexual urges and the like.

Unsure how Steven will react to having such powers, the aliens decide to 'intervene; in some way.

Or we can have another new beginning?
