Rose Jacobs stared out over the city as the light was starting to fade. She had been riding non-stop for nearly thirty-six hours. Her horse was exhausted, as was she. She sighed and dismounted, she would wait in this small forrest until the next day. There was a small stream to her right, she led the horse to it. The horse in turn starting gulping down water as fast as she could. Rose smiled. "Easy, girl." she stroked the giant black animals main affectionately. "I'm sorry we couldn't stop sooner." She sighed again, "Midnight, what are we going to do?" She shook her head, "This seemed like a good idea yesterday, but the king isn't know for his kindness."
The horse merely continued to drink. She sat down and cupped her hands to get a drink. No need to worry about it now, she decided.
