This is a great opportunity. You rarely get to go on vacation, and this will be out of the country. You email them back that you will be going and start getting ready. You take leave, have your daughter stay with your wife, and pack everything up.
In about a week you get on the plane and start flying over. Not only did they pay for your tickets, they also bought you first class. With the great seating and the free alcohol the 12 hour flight felt much shorter. Before long you were in Tokyo/Narita. You then got on a small turbo prop headed to the island.
Once you get off the plane, you see a tall attractive woman in a dress holding a sign, "Yakeda Koichi."
"Ma'am, I believe you are looking for me."
"Yes, Koichi-san. Your bags will be taken seperately, follow me to the car."
"Thank you."
You follow her to the car, a Lincoln Town Car, and she drives you to your family's home. When you arrive you see that it is almost a palace. Back in the United States it would easily be called a mansion. She pulled up in front of the main entrance and stopped.
"Here is your new home."
"Again, thank you."
As you get out of the car you think about her wording "your new home," that is weird, you are here just for a short bit. Well, it might just be the language barrier, and you let it fade from your mind. Standing just outside of the entryway are two men in suits and a woman in a kimono. The older of the two men appears to be about 60 years old, and both the younger man and the woman appear to be in their twenties.
"Hello, Koichi." The older man says. "I am your Uncle, Daisuke. This is your cousin, Noburu and his wife, Aiko. Welcome to our home."
"Thank you sir." You respond.
"You are very welcome. Come, let's give you a tour of the house."
You walk up the stairs and he let's you into the house. The house seems somehow even bigger on the inside. You never knew a home could have so many rooms. Some are devoted to family heirlooms, including two full sets of samurai armor. No matter where you go however, a servant is not far. Most are cleaning, but others are standing by in case a family member would require assistance. The tour ends at your room. It is incredibly comfortable looking, but also quite feminine, must be because it is a guest room.
"If you would like, you can rest. You must be incredibly jet lagged."
You only just noticed, now that he's brought it up.
"Thank you, I think I will."
Once he has left you get undressed and go to sleep.
