"That's right, dear sister. Your little sister just slapped you across the house." She stood over her and flexed her biceps. "Look at the muscle I got! I could beat you up ANY day, with one hand tied behind my back!"
Daniel shook her head groggily and stood up, slowly. "No ... you're ... not stronger than me," she said, all the while staring down at Sharon's rounded, muscular arms. "Where'd you ... you can't have ... I don't ... understand," she said confusedly as Sharon flexed repeatedly, enjoying the effect the rise of her biceps was having on her sister.
"You thought you had all the jock genes. Obviously not. It just took longer for mine to kick in! And now that they've just started to grow, who knows how big I'll get!"
Daniel backed away. "Don't be stupid, Sharon. Obviously you've gotten bigger, and I hadn't noticed. but you can't just keep growing muscles. You have to work out, train and condition them, every day, like I do, if you want to be as good an athlete as me."
"Maybe YOU do," Sharon bragged, "but obviously I don't! I'm going to be much better than you at everything!"
"We'll see about that!" Daniel laughed. "You may have a few muscles, but check back with me when you can get your overhand tennis serve in, sink a basket from more than three feet out, or hit the ball out of the infield!"
Sharon was momentarily flustered. She had to be better She was going to be the best! A wave of confidence poured through here. "Sure! Let's do it right now!" She pulled her sister outside the house, easily overpowering her, and dragged her to the driveway basketball hoop. "You first, from that line."
"You mean, the foul line?" Daniel smirked. She took the ball and made five out of ten the last one bouncing several times on the rim before dropping in. "Ha! Let's see you get two!" she taunted and whipped the ball to her, expecting it to pass through her hands and hit her in the chest.
Instead, Sharon caught it expertly and walked confidently to the line. She butted Daniel out of the way with her hip. The ball felt as comfortable and natural to her as her own hands. She flipped it up and it dropped through the net without touching the rim. Daniel passed it back to her, more gently this time. Sharon put it up again, and it dropped in perfectly. "Two!" she called out. She tossed it again, for another perfect swish. Daniel's mouth dropped open. Daniel grinned. She took the ball and walked backwards three feet before throwing in another perfect shot.
"I don't believe it." Daniel said.
"Believe it!" Sharon said, moving to twenty feet out. She casually threw up another swish. Daniel it and Sharon caught it with one hand and started spinning the ball on her finger. "Try guarding me. I bet you can't stop me from tying you."
"You're on!" Daniel came up and Sharon started dribbling, passing the ball back and forth between her legs as expertly as any NBA guard. She jumped, soaring high over Daniel's outstretched arms and scored again. "Yes!"
"Since when can you play like that?" Daniel said angrily.
"Since now, sis! See if you can stop me from beating you with one hand behind my back." She took the ball and started dribbling, keeping her right hand on her butt. She dribbled rings around Daniel and then put up another perfect shot. "Six! I win!"
"So you can play basketball. You must have been practicing."
"I can do anything ten times better than you!" Sharon laughed.
