Chapter #3

Leave the depressing setting

    by: Unknown
I couldn't stay here for much longer, the depressing tone and atmosphere wasn't something I would fix by talking foe now.

Even in moms body I would be hard pressed to convince anyone to smile for a week, and that's if I get them to have a conversation about my death at all.

Besides mom hasn't been conscious since my funeral, I can't imagine she's been able to grieve like this.

So I left her body, oddly enough it felt as easy as possessing her as I floated above the living room ceiling.

My mom sat on the couch, nursing her temple with her hand. "What happened?" She whispered.

And with that I left, for now at least.

After all I promised to protect Jane, so my family should automatically be counted in that as well.

It took a little while but I eventually ended up a decent distance from my home, though that only brought negatives.

Firstly now I'm a ghost who can possess people, but to that extent I have no idea why or how I'm a ghost, and possession was both a really useful and really creepy ability.

Just the thought of it made me remember my brief time in my moms body, despite feeling her soul somewhere inside when I possessed her there was no resistance at all, not when I possessed her not when I left the funeral as her and especially not when I nearly groped her beforehand.

Hell she didn't even seem to remember it at all.

And secondly I couldn't visit anyone I knew right now, especially not if I wanted to do something about it.

I had both the time to recover from dying and the knowledge that I would live on afterwards, something my family and friends didn't possess nor would they probably ever believe without solid proof backing it, and even then I don't think they would be ready to hear something like that so soon after my death and especially right after my funeral.

So for now I really should...

You have the following choices:

1. Watch over my family

*Noteb*
2. Possess someone at school

*Noteb*
3. Go around town as a ghost

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
