You were almost disappointed by the room. All these weeks and the room that Stephina had forbidden you to enter was not much bigger than your closet. The only thing that kept it from being totally anti-climactic was the arch not two feet away from where Stephina held you. There was a faint glow within the arch lining the inside of the columns. “What is that?” you asked.
“That, my little friend,” Stephina said, emphasizing the word little, “Is a portal. You see, I’m not from this… world, dimension, plane of being, or whatever you want to call it. This portal is my way between your world and mine. Now I’m taking you back with me.”
“But then why did you shrink me?” you ask.
“One: there’s a weight limit as to how much the portal’s magic can allow through. And two: you’ll be much easier to keep in line this way.” Stephina said. She then said some words in a language you didn’t understand, but they seemed similar to the ones she used to open the door, and the glow inside the arch intensified, the glow stretch between the columns forming a wall of light. Stephina then proceeded to walk into the light.
