With some mental work, Rachel focused on all of the basketball skills and somehow enhanced it to the entire team....even the reserves(back ups). Rachel smiled and thought Nobody will laugh at us now. There is still a chance for us going to the playoffs. I just need to focus on us knowing how to do teamwork and WHEN to score on our own.
The other teammates were thrilled with what they can do. The coach was watching with an amazed look on her face. Rachel just knew that she had to help the coach too. So Rachel sharpened the coach's strategy and other skills in basketball. Plus she made the coach so calm and collected that the coach never could make a mistake on coaching a player. After some practicing, the team took a break. The coach then told them the next team that they were playing were the undefeated Tremble Tech Bulldogs at 11-0 and the last two years State champions. That team beat Rachel's team by 60 points last time and 73 points two years previously. The game was to be played in 3 days.
Rachel said 'Let us keep practicing so that we can win even if the other team start playing dirty." The other girls agreed too excitedly. The coach tried a few new plays that the girls learned quickly.
