"I was going to tell you anyway, on your birthaday, but you found the book" mom says. You stand, looking at her like she's gone crazy. While you like a good joke, this is going too far.
"I would've unless Hayley got to you first" she say with a slight giggle.
Now annoyed, you ask "What does Hayley got to do with this? Why did she leave without even a word?"
Mom frowns. "I may as well tell you. Your sister is a witch, just like me. Both Mel and Hannah will be. That is what Hayley been doing; learning to control her powers. Hopefully neither Mel or Hannah will need to go..."
You turn around and glare at mom. You've missed your sister and now she is making jokes about it. You storm off without a word. Hours later your sister arrives home, and you great her warmly. Once you get a chance, you ask her the thing you want to know. "Hayley, I need to know what you've been doing. No one told me anything." Mom is close by and hears everything. "I told you, John" she says/ "I know it is hard to believe, but its the truth." Mel and Hannah don't know what you're talking about, so you snap "Mom says your a witch and went to witch school. Like I'm going to believe that. I like a joke and a laugh, but honestly I don't understand you girls" you say, and walk off before the can reply.
Mom looks at Hayley "John doesn't understand girls? We can fix that...." Both Mel and Hannah wonder what their joke is.
