You shake your head, wondering if mom is on some weird prank, or if everone has gone crazy. "No its a blank book"
"No tingling? Strange feelings in your body?"
"No and no. What is going on? You're freaking me out?" you say, suddenly alarmed by mom's 'protective' questioning.
"Good. That means you're not changing them. No yet. Hopefully not ever. You see I'm a witch and so are your sisters."
"Yeah right" you scoff. Mom is having a weird joke.
"Its true, bro. I was learning to control my powers since I'm the oldest. Only girls can work magic, hence our concern. If you could read that book, it means you're changing"
"You scared me and now..." you begin. Hayley cuts you off. "I know it is hard to believe. Mom, when was you going to tell them?"
"Hannah discovered the secret when she has snooping last week. I'm not happy about her brother finding her book. I was going to tell Melanie and John on their birthday. I'll tell Mel now. Melanie, can you come here?" mom yells.
"You're planning mischief, mom" Hayley says, noticing her grin.
"John is the only boy in this family. I don't want him feeling threatened by our powers, so I'm not going to demostrate my magic on him" mom says, as she waves her hand. Your eyes go wide as a puddle of water pours itself out of a nearby glass, and moves above the door. You're too shocked to realize it is waiting for your twin to enter the room.
"Mom. What is..." Mel says as she enters. At that point, mom releases the water.
