This choice: You want to go to school to see if they think you're Lucy • Go Back...Chapter #9this day just keeps getting 'better'... by: Runner "Yeah, I'll be fine" you say, wincing, since it looks like your going to act the part of the girl for a while. Mel shrugs, but leaves you alone to get dressed. Once alone, you get ready by throwing on a skirt and top, which distrubingly, you manage without even thinking. Mom doesn't have tomboy's in the house, and 'Lucy' seems to be no exception. As you get ready, you wonder what could have happened. "They're not acting like its some test. They genuinely believe I'm the third Harrison daughter." you say quietly. You look at the time, and see you have fiven minutes before the bus arrives. Quickly, you walk down to the basement, and see it empty, as you expected it. Jack would 'hide' itself if this was some sick test, but there is one other place that can tell you. You rush up to the attic where mom keeps her photos. Opening it, you're shocked to see that the pictures of you with dad are that of a little girl. You feel dejected, since mom would never alter those pictures for any reason. "Could it be that Mel's spell and my counter threw me into an alternate reality, or worse, caused reality to change around me?" you ponder.A more, unpleasent thought enters your mind "If I've always been a girl in this reality, Jack would have never given me his science. It would have gone to Tim, or died with him...." A voice, mom's, tells you that you're out of time....
"What's wrong with Lucy?" Megan says to Mel on the bus. You're sitting a few rows away, deep in thought. "We had a magic duel yestreday afternoon, but when she woke up this morning, she's been acting weird. She hasn't even put makeup on! Can you remember the last time she didn't? I hope I haven't accidently made her think like a guy. No offense" she giggles, turning to Harry.
"Don't worry. Lucy will be fine. You're more powerful than you think, Mel, and you probably stunned her" Harry says kindly, since he didn't want her to test her magic on him. Mel nods, but doubtfully
If you thought the bus trip was bad, school is a nightmare. Apparently Lucy is one of the more attractive girls in school, so you have plenty of eyes looking at you. It makes you feel very uncomfortable. Least your schoolwork is mostly the same, and that any lingering part of you that thinks its a test is silenced. The girls all seem to remember you as Lucy, growing up with them You're thankful they didn't give you weird looks from your discrete questions. The day finally ends, and you grab your bag, wanting to get out of school and start searching for a way for you to return to normal. A voice calls you.
