Suddenly, Theresa whimpered, "Uh, I don't want to go on a mission."
"What? Everyone wants to go on a mission, Theresa," the teacher said.
"Yeah, but I don't think I'm ready. Actually, I think I need years more training. I'm only twelve, after all."
Lucille raised her hand.
"I could replace her if she doesn't want to go," she said. Then Jerry groaned.
"If she can refuse, can I?" he asked. "I'm really scared."
"Fine," the teacher groaned. "Both of you, get out of here."
The children scurried off, looking mildly confused. Mark knew what was going on the moment Lucille joined Francis. He turned to the teacher, but by the look in his eyes, he knew that Lucille was controlling him as well. Kevin stepped over to stand beside Lucille and said, "I guess I'll take Jerry's place. Since he doesn't want it."
Mark's eyes widened. No, no, no! Everything was going wrong! He was hoping to have only one menace on this trip, but it turned out that all three of his nemesis were tagging along.
"Well, get on with your trip," the teacher said, but Mark saw Lucille mouthing the words herself. Mark scowled at her.
"Where am I supposed to go or do?" he asked. Lucille turned to Francis.
"Into Karlton City. We have a bit of a pest problem there. Robbers are taking over the city. We need you to stop them."
