You sit down not saying anything but wonered where she got that might from. If you were being honest with yourself you would admit you were proud of her since you didn't think she had it in her. "Good morning," you finally said and she giggled. You look at her. "What time is wrestling practice?" she asked. As you munch away at your food you are confused by her question. It is Saturday and you wondered why she was not on the phone with her friends making plans. "Why you ask, pickle?" She stared at you with an angry face. "Because, Bozo, I need a ride," she said. You were confused. "Where to?" She drank her juice. "To practice." Now you were really confused. "Munchkin, what kind of practice?". She giggled. " I joined the school's wrestling team." You saw she was serious and did not look like the pushover that you remember. You stayed quiet during the rest of breakfast and allowed her to do the talking. After all you needed to understand why and how you would handle this. On the ride to school you were about to turn on the radio and she slapped your hand away hard and then she picked a station. Your heart pounded so you let it go.
