A few hours later, night was beginning to set in with no sign of the town in sight.
"Well this is just great," said a frustrated Kagome. "It's dark out. No town in sight! And I'm covered in Dirt!"
"What's the big deal?" said Inuyasha. "It's just a bit of dirt. I sometimes really don't understand you humans sometimes."
"Well sometimes I can't understand demons!" said Kagome angrily.
Inuyasha just shrugged he was too tired to care and honestly just wanted to sleep. The two eventually decided to make a small camp off the side of the road. Inuyasha managed to make a fire before curling up and falling asleep. Kagome, unhappy that she was still covered in dirt, found it harder to sleep. Then she remembered the book. Taking it out of her bag, Kagome began to thumb through the pages seeing if there was anything that stood out that she might be able to understand. After half an hour of trying, Kagome, in further frustration, slammed the book down on the ground, balled up her fist, hit one of the opened pages, and then flopped onto her side. She was tired, dirty, and unhappy. She just wanted to sleep. And soon she did, oblivious to the light glimmer that came from the book.
