You emerge in a gallery floored with smooth and intricately cut flagstones. Three passages are arranged before you in a semicircle.
To your left, the way forward is so heavily choked with cobwebs that you nearly dismiss that path as folly. Thinking twice, you realize it confirms that none have passed that way in some time, which may mean there are valuable items farther along, waiting to be claimed.
The central passage seems even less promising, the masonry chipped and fractured from floor to ceiling. It looks like a loud whisper would bring the entire thing down on your head. As with the cobwebbed corridor, it's possible that treasures are stacked up just beyond. For the adventurous.
The way to your right looks invitingly safe in comparison, but you see a distinctive rune scratched over the doorway. While stopped in the village of Cottenwilk to purchase horse feed and pad out your supplies, some of the locals spoke of a cult known to carry out bizarre rites in and around Dormduo's ruins. Perhaps you've stumbled onto them. And perhaps they'll be so distracted with their ceremonies that someone might slip in and help themselves to whatever catches their eye.
