The Museum of Natural Enjoyment was an odd, if mysterious, aspect of New Forazio. The large building was three storeys high with two large wings coming out from the centre. It dominated the southern side of the Market Place, the darkened bricks giving an almost ominous feel to the place as it loomed over the smaller stalls. Entrance was forbidden to all but the Aristocracy, the young King apparently spending a great deal of his evenings while away from prying eyes. Rumours abounded as to what took place inside, the majority of the staff being female adding fuel to the fires of gossip as many wondered if the King had been ensared by the various decadent aspects that were thought to take place in the building.
From outside, the building looked daunting, the only entrance on the ground floor being a large double set of doors that were guarded constantly. The door was but one entrance in and to a skilled thief such as yourself, the windows presented ample opportunities. Selecting one that was obscured from view from the Market Place, you throw a hooked rope into the air, the sound of glass breaking as it finds its target. You wait a moment to see if there's any outcries but nothing happens, the darkness of the night giving you ample cover to move up, climbing up the rope until you reach the window, clambering through and hitting the floor.
Getting up, you scan round the room and see its largely empty, only a few dusty boxes littering it as it seemed that it had long been in disuse. Taking the rope from the window and storing it for later, you exit the room via a door that leads to a corridor. You take a breath before heading onwards, hoping to reach the fabled treasures of the Museum. Jewels were said to line the bedrooms, gold used for mere candlesticks, the very height of decadence and expensive tastes. All up for grabs for someone who was wily enough to get them.
Your journey up the corridor eventually comes to a fork, one leading directly ahead further along the same floor while to the left, a staircase leading directly down to the bottom floor. From it, you hear the echoes of faint screams, unable to discern much than they seem to be a mixture of male and female voices. That could lead to a party with people that might lead to treasures but at great risk. Maybe it would be safer to continue along the corridor?
