When a high school student's monstrous stepfather gets hungry, there's no stopping him!
This choice: goes for the phone up-stairs!  •  Go Back...
Chapter #5

Safe in your room?

    by: Joe Author IconMail Icon
Bryan realize that the only other phone in the house was the upstairs one! There is NO way he was going to deal with a crazy giant man who wants to eat him without SOME police help!

Bryan ran as fast as he could towards the stairs... still, that head trauma he experience was making him woozy as he walked up those steps. The scar throb as blood still came out of it... the boy almost forgot why he came up there until he found the phone on it's stand in the hallway.

Bryan picked it up and thought carefully what to say... he knew that if he said his stepfather grew twice as big and wanted to him at first bat, they would think it was a prank. Just keep it simple and get the right amount of help.

THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!

The house shook a little as though a giant animal was stirring on the ground level...

Max was awake again.

"YA PISSING ME OFF, BRAT!" he bellowed, "AND I GET EXTRA CHEWY WHEN I AM PISSED!"

Bryan FELT Max's footsteps coming closer to the stairwell. He was petrified with fear. Each step becoming loud and HEAVIER as he approached.

The 18-year old twig boy was in awe as he saw his step father taking up the ENTIRE case with his body like a giant fleshy hairy snake, the banister BARELY holding up against his love handles!

Max got snugged at the top part, his massive pecs and belly blocking the threshold! He did had ONE free arm, it was close to Bryan, who ran away before Max could slam him with his meat paw, leaving a indent crater in the wood floor!

"THIS SHIT ISN'T GONNA HOLD ME FOR LONG, BITCH BOY!" he said his slowly inflated in size, making the stairs and walls around him creak and break.

Now in "flight mode" Bryan did the only thing he can do now: lock himself in his room!

Taking deep breathes, Max tried to dial up the on the cordless phone he had... but the line was dead! Max must have cut the line?

Guess that insane hungry monster man was smart enough to get Bryan to isolate himself and leave him trapped in a corner like this...

Bryan, fearing his super-sized stepfather on the other side of the door, ran towards his bed on the other side and hid himself under his sheets, hoping this somehow this WHOLE thing was a dream and he would wake up to his "normal" nightmare life.

But... no. He was STILL in this situation.

From where he was, Bryan could heard the LOUD creaking of the wood. He always knew his step father's presence on this floor from how the ground groaned from his weight and his stomps... now they are an amplified orchestra of wood in pain. And they kept on getting louder and louder...

Until it stopped... All Bryan heard was silence...

He waited... and Waited...

No sound... no creaks, no moans, no steps... quiet... silence... too quite...

Bryan was more scared now then ever... and right one cue, came Max's threat...

"THINK YOU CAN A LOCK DOOR AND NARROW ASS HALLWAY CAN PROTECT YOU, KID!?!" He bellowed, sound almost like he was ALL around Bryan, "WELL, WAIT TILL YOU SEE ME DO THIS!!!"

Bryan didn't want to see this. He covered a blanket over his head. The boy has now regressed into a toddler who was afraid of the dark in broad daylight.

HE then heard it. A LOUD SNAP of the wood breaking in his room! Max was HERE NOW! But where!?!? Like his voice, it was coming from ALL AROUND the room!

Bryan lifted his head from his covers to see...
