Following the wire leads you to a jumble of electronics. To your annoyance, you see that Nathan has rigged up your Xbox, as well as every other console in the flat to the VR machine. The Xbox is powered on.
Curious, you flick on the kitchen TV and plug the Xbox cable into the back.
A scene from Mass Effect 2 appears on the screen. You recognise Morinth, the asari, seated in Samara's quarters. Was this the... sex scene?
"I want to give you that, Shepard. I want you to feel every nerve in your body pulsing with pleasure."
The dialogue options spring up on the screen - 'What about your condition?' or 'Do you think I'm an idiot?'. You're just about to reach for the controller when the Commander Shepard onscreen takes a third option.
"Whoaaa, blue tits," he drools.
What the hell?
"You and I can share something so intense, so deep it will change your life," Samara continues, seemingly taking that as a yes.
"Heck yes!" Shepard yells, stripping out of his clothes. "I'll show you something so intense and deep it'll change your vagina." Glancing over at Nathan on the couch, you watch his lips moving slightly to match Shepard's words. You almost feel bad for the serial-murderer psychopath alien for having to suffer through Nathan's foreplay.
"Come here, Shepard," the Samara in the game whispers, embracing the half-naked Shepard.
In about five seconds, Shepard - Nathan - is going to have every nerve in his body fried, and he doesn't even realise it. How realistic is this simulation? you consider.
"Embrace eterni-"
You don't wait to find out. You leap for the power cord.
