—Anthony’s point of view—
Once we had transformed and entered the mirror world, the tricky part began. I had given them the basics and the theory, and now, they had to put it into practice. Hard gruelling, practice.
Four and a half hours, and some breaks to prevent getting Vented plus a quick snack break later, there were definite improvements. Not perfect, but we-yes, I included myself. I had only won that first battle due to the Survive Vent, and the Minions had nearly overwhelmed me. If we were to stop whatever was going on in the Tokusatsu multiverse, I would have to win consistently WITHOUT my super mode- we were relativity untrained civilians who had received functioning Advent Decks and told that Tokusatsu was a bunch of alternate dimensions and they were in danger. Instant Perfection in fighting skills was for sloppy fanfics with perfect boring protagonists who got more pussy then a pet shop.
Anyway, Cristina had shown the most improvement. She could now run and dodge in heels, although being able to properly fight with her rapier in the heels would take a lot more practice. So I had her focus on evasion and basic strikes for now, leaving the more complicated stuff for when I could get the material for her to learn off of. After all, I was a sword user, not a rapier used. She had taken a liking to using Blancwing to assist her in battle, and it was working for her. I had never thought that it was possible to overpower Dragblacker with Blancwing, but apparently that could happen. Must have been her aggression at my aggressive training. Sorry sis, but these monsters will eat you up if you let them. You gotta be strong to stop them. Siren was shaping up to be a good fighter.
Robert, on the other hand….whoever had chosen Thrust for him was an asshole, or making an ironic play on meanings of words. As Robert had summed it up once I had finished explaining, Thrust was designed to be a tank character, meaning he could take hits and dish them back out to his attackers. Robert didn’t have a strong build, so he relied on speed, trickery and attacking weak spots whenever he got into a fight, which blended over to his battle style in video games.
This was a match made in hell, because muscle memory was a thing and it was really screwing with how Robert fought while as Thrust. Worse, he was pretty upset to find out that he had no access to any sort of speed boosting or armor shedding Advent Cards. While he could fight good enough to win, it wouldn’t be pretty. I had him focus on taking close range attacks and making good use of the Strike and Attack Vents. He had taken well to Metalgelas, especially when he learnt that his Final Vent involved riding him.
But thankfully, and most importantly, both could now draw the Advent Card they wanted and needed 100% consistently. There was no chance of me getting accidentally cockblocked by a Confine Vent anymore. That was one of the most important parts down.
As for me, well I was their opponent and teacher, but I used the fights to help shake off some rust from my old sword fighting and still ongoing marital arts classes and get some minuscule practice in of my own. Without using Survive. Like I said, I had to be able to win without resorting to it everytime. We’d taken a break when the Boot Camp was cut short by an arrival.
—Third Person point of view—
Unknown to the three Kamen Riders, a fourth one was watching the whole thing. A female, she looked like Onyx, only white and silver, with heels, a skirt, and a noticeably larger chest area. She had been observing the training, waiting for a moment to strike and wipe 3 of the 15 opposing Riders in one fell swoop, especially since she had already taken out Tourqe. But her plans were stymied by an arrival….
