-Christina's point of view.-
I wasn't too sure about Eric. He seemed like a good enough person, just a little annoying. Still, whenever I caught a glimpse of his eyes, I could tell that he was holding something back, something painful.
"There's nothing more we can do here." My brother said. "I suggest we go back inside and continue our search."
Eric and I agreed and we started walking towards the house. I purposely walked slowly, allowing Eric to move ahead, as I talked with my brother.
"What do you make of him?" I asked, quietly.
"He's a little annoying." He whispered. "But I believe he means well. He has this look in his eye that tells me he's lost more than just a few friends."
"Which makes him want to protect any new friends that much more." I finished.
Scottie nodded. "Exactly. I think, once he sees that we can handle ourselves, he will loosen up a little and become more tolerable."
Then, my brother and I heard a loud commotion in the house. We ran through the kitchen door to find a comical scene. Eric was back in his civilian form, struggling to throw off my best friend, Robert. Robert was clinging to Eric's back, repeatedly hitting him on the head and shoulders.
"Who are you!?!" He demanded, bringing his fist down. "What are you doing in my friends' house!?!"
"Ow!" Eric complained. "Get off of me, kid, and I'll tell you!"
"Not a chance!" Robert yelled. "Explain yourself or get out!"
Scottie and I could not help but laugh at the scene. Unfortunately, it distracted Robert. Eric took advantage of the distraction and caught his right arm. With a powerful heave, he pulled Robbert off of his back, landing him hard but safely onto his feet.
"You got spunk, kid!" Eric told him. "I'll give you that!"
Robert rose his hands as if to defend himself and I yelled to him to stop.
"Easy, Robbie!" I said, hurrying towards him. "He's okay."
"You know this guy?" Robert asked, surprised.
I walked up to him and noticed another Advent Deck hanging out of the side pocket of his jeans. That was when I showed him my Siren deck.
"He's a Kamen Rider, like you, me, and Anthony." I explained.
Robert looked at Eric, surprised, then blushed, embarrassed, as Eric showed him his Wing Knight Deck.
"Oh, man!" Robert said. "I... I'm sorry. I didn't know."
Eric rubbed the back of his head, as if to massage away the pain. I could tell he was highly frustrated with my friend. I was sure he was going to blow up on him, but, to my surprise, he let out a low sigh then smiled.
"Forget about it." He replied. "I would have done the same thing in your place." He gave out a short laugh. "I have to admit, I never saw you coming."
Minutes later, we all gathered in the living room as Robert told a familiar tale of how the deck, which my brother and Eric called the Thrust Deck, came to him and he was attacked by a number of Minions. My brother and Eric explained their own experiences, which was when a thought came to my mind.
"Did any of you ever wonder how the Minions detected us so quickly?" I asked. Eric turned to me, raising his eyebrows in surprise. I could tell that he had wondered that himself.
"Right now, we can only guess." My brother said. "But we have other things to worry about. We were given these decks, these powers for a reason."
"I'm afraid we are going to discover that reason all too soon." I added.
Scottie nodded, then looked at the clock. "It's getting close to lunch." he turned to Robert and Eric. "Care to join us?"
Before anyone could answer, the sound of thunder from a TV show was heard from my brother's room.
"You didn't happen to turn my TV on and forget to turn it off, did you Robbie?" My brother asked, turning to my friend, who shook his head in response. We ran into his room and saw that it was on the first season of Power Rangers (which my brother said shouldn't even be playing now), and that a wierd storm was quickly forming in it. We saw a fearful shadow appear from the clouds and begin to descend slowly.
"What's that?" Robert asked.
"I don't know, that wasn't in the series, so you can bet it's something we need to take care of." My brother said.
What happens next?
