"Where were we?" you demanded, trying to cover the fear rising up in her throat.
The lady glared at you. "Do you want it to find us?"
You kept your mouth shut.
The lady looked around. "Here... it won't be long before it finds us. It follows us by our scent. We need to get away from here." She tried to shift aside a boulder blocking our path and with the help of you and Lion, succeeded.
A dark path was revealed and the lady gestured for you to go in. Your heart started pounding.
"Don't worry," whispered Lion. "I'll keep you safe." He slid he hand into yours and together, the both of you started to walk.
"Faster!" the lady urged. "At this rate we will be dead soon!"
Then a thought struck you. What is a boulder doing in the middle of a wardrobe?
The path became narrow and low as branches hung low. Soon, there was only enough space for one.
"You'll have to go alone," the lady informed as if you couldn't see that. "I'll go in first, and you will follow," she jabbed her finger at you. She turned to Lion. "Come in after we shout for you."
She started walking and you followed behind her.
Dim light started shining in through the thick canopy of the low hanging trees and branches. Suddenly, the lady vanished. You looked around in fear, thinking you had lost her.
"Over here!" You turned around and saw her. She stood in front of a cave.
Relieved, you made your way over there, careful to avoid twigs. You reached her and she ushered you into the cave. The cave was mostly empty, and filled with glistening shells. You felt as if there was somebody watching you.
"It is time! She is here! Let us kill her and use her blood for our freedom!" The lady shouted. Several heavy-built man made their ways to you. They were armed with weapons ranging from arrows to swords. You were unarmed, how could you fight them all?
There was only two choices now, you could hide, or you could run. Not being brave, both options seemed a lot to you. You knew you were wasting time but what could you do?
