Resseck rolled out of the way just in time.
He brought his own tail around and smacked
Raven across the face with it, making the
young dragonite bleed from various wounds,
but that didn't slow him.
Raven hissed at Resseck and then lept into
the air, expanding his wings. Resseck wanted
to cry. Why had they put him up against
Raven first? Raven's fight shouldn't have
been to almost the very last. Someone had it
in for him, but who? Who would have enough
contacts to pull such a trick?
Resseck's mind was brought back into the
present when Raven let loose a massive fire
ball. Resseck did a back flip out of the
line of fire. But, as another fire ball was
shot, he hadn't moved fast enough. He
shielded himself with his tail and his arms.
The fire ball hit the "sheild" and small
tendrils of fire licked at Resseck's body.
His arms started to burn madly, but Resseck
knew it was better than his whole body
catching on fire.
When the burning stopped, Resseck tore his
arms away and looked up.
