The school was enormous! Blitz had never seen so many Pokemon in one place before! Every type of Pokemon imaginable could be found lounging in the lobby, reading in the library, or talking in the halls. But one thing Blitz didn't see was any other Jolteon. Oh, sure, there were other eeveelutions, but none of them were electric types. In fact, most of them were Vaporeon, water types who wouldn't accept or understand him. There were other electric Pokemon too, but Blitz was nervous about introducing himself.
It wasn't that he was scared, far from it actually. Blitz had been a running back on the football team at his old school and had had no problems being the jock he was. But this place was bigger and there were already established cliques. He knew they wouldn't accept him readily. There also stood the fact that Blitz was a bit...different. Blitz was a giant at 4'07" (two feet taller than most Jolteon) and his weightlifting regiment made him even more imposing. He was just big enough to frighten smaller Pokemon away, but too small to befriend the larger Pokemon without proving himself. He was also a "shiny" Pokemon and his fur was a vivid green instead of the usual yellow.
Blitz walked alone to a far corner of the lobby, away from the other students. There were still 45 minutes until the first bell rang and there were already a countless number of students. He watched the other Pokemon, trying to pick out who was in what clique so that he wouldn't be caught talking to the wrong people. He sat there only a few minutes, however, when a group of bigger Pokemon came over to him.
There was a Machoke, a Granbull, and a Nidoking. They made a circle around him.
"Well, boys," the Nidoking said, who was apparently the leader, "Looks like the new kid took our spot."
"Maybe we should show him why that isn't a good idea," the Granbull added.
"Yeah, punk," the Machoke spat, "We don't like it when someone takes our spot!"
Though Blitz was about as big as them, and could have taken any one of them in a fight, three against one wasn't in his favor. He didn't want to get into a fight the first day, either, so he picked up his stuff and walked away.
"And we'd better not see you around here again!" the Nidoking yelled.
Blitz had noticed that they all wore football jerseys from the school. He'd show them once he joined the team. But for now, he needed somewhere to spend the next 40 minutes.
A feeling in his bladder took his mind off of those jerks. Finding a seat would have to wait until he found a toilet. He saw the sign at the end of an adjoining hallway and headed towards it. As he approached, he heard muffled yells from inside. Cautiously, but quickly in case someone was in danger, Blitz went in and looked for the source of the cries. He found the cause to be an Eevee being attacked by an Arbok. The snake had coiled himself around the smaller Pokemon and was attempting to eat him. He had to act fast...
