Kayla walked down the alley doing her best to keep quiet but her bare feet made a noise which she worried was very loud so she started to tip toe for a little while. At the end of the alley she peeked out to make sure the parade was not there and no one else was around. Seeing no one she quickly walked down the pavement to what looked like a quieter neighbourhood.
As Kayla walked by the houses she tried to look in them, most were dark with no lights and those with lights had the curtains drawn, she thought to herself probably so no one goes after their feet. One house she walked by was slightly larger than the others, she stopped to examine it noting how different it looked.
While looking a figure creeped out from the porch, a girl perhaps a few years older than Kayla with almost silvery hair that seemed to shine started to stare at her. Kayla stared back in fear over what would happen.
