As you approached the mall you noticed Stacey's car parked near the trolleys. You realized that your girlfriend had already arrived, more than likely waiting for you outside the mall entrance. Without hesitation, you trekked through the parking lot until you caught your first glimpse. As usual, she was a beautiful sight to behold, locks of blonde hair gently planted upon her smooth shoulders, and her jade eyes glistening under the sun. As you approached her, likewise, she caught a glimpse of you. She glared at you with a smirk upon her face. "You're late," she chuckled as you embraced her.
"Sorry I'm late, I overslept," you bashfully explained before she stole a quick kiss from you, catching you off guard.
"Again?" She laughed, and you laughed along with her as she hooked her hand around your arm, "Never mind, let's just grab a bite to eat, okay darling?" With that said, the both of you marched into the mall, with her left arm hooked around your right, and emerged to find a large crowd of people constantly barging into one another. Evidently it was rush hour, and the mall was packed. Despite your sigh of annoyance however, Stacey, your girlfriend, insisted that you continue with her nonetheless. Feeling obliged to make your girlfriend happy, you accepted, and followed her into a small diner in the corner of the mall.
The diner was heavily crowded. You waited in the cue for almost forty minutes, just to take your order. You were lucky to find a table for two, next to a window that boasted a view overlooking the entire parking lot. As you and Stacey both made yourselves comfortable, you both took the opportunity to enjoy a conversation as you awaited the arrival of your orders.
Five minutes into the conversation, Stacey suddenly proclaimed that she needed to use the lavatory. You nodded your head before you realized that she had already left.
You sat for a moment, waiting for the return of your beloved girlfriend, until you felt something slightly odd. "I feel...different," you thought to yourself, attempting to shrug it off, but at that moment, something happened.
But what happened? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
