You felt conflicted. Your body clearly was telling you it was excited for this date, considering how turned on you were, but the Eddy part of you was disgusted by the idea of dating another guy. You assumed that your date would be Stacy, your girlfriend, and you’d be a lesbian couple. You hadn’t expected your wish to be a girl would cause other changes as well. But considering you were apparently closer to Melina as a girl, and Stacy wasn’t a lesbian, or even bi, you should’ve expected this. You contemplated making a wish to escape this situation, but the Elaine part of you didn’t want to. With Steve now in front of you, new memories of him asking you out flowed into your mind. Memories of fawning over him like all the other girls in school, and nearly fainting from excitement when he asked you out. You. Out of all the the girls in school he could’ve picked, with every one of them being eager to date him, he picked you. This made the Elaine part of you feel a sense of pride that the Eddy part of you never experienced before. So while the Eddy part of you wanted to wish that you and Stacy were a lesbian couple, the Elaine part of you wanted to keep Steve as your boyfriend.
Another option would be to tell your new boyfriend about the wishing candies. The two of you have grown close over the six months you’d been dating. He was a surprisingly faithful young man, and seemed to prioritize your feelings over his own, which meant that the two of you hadn’t had sex yet. In fact, he admitted to you, in confidence, that he was a virgin, just like you. So with how close the two of you were, he might have some great wish ideas that both of you would enjoy. Of course, you’d keep the fact that you were originally a boy a secret, since that would surely change how he feels about you.
Then there was the option of telling Melina about the wishing candies instead. The two of you were much closer as sisters, so your new memories as Elaine told you that she wouldn’t stab you in the back if she had magical wish granting candies. In this version of reality, she had loved having a sister just a year younger than her to be a mentor to, constantly giving advice, which ultimately helped you to earn the attention of a hunk like Steve. With how close the two of you were, and how much she dotes on you, she might even have some ideas that improve your life more than your first wish did.
