It seemed Ash wasn't affected by the light, but Dawn was engulfed in it. When the light faded, she began to fatten up and turn round, and her skin became metal. Before she could sya anything, her face became the button on what seemed to be a Poke Ball, preventing her from speaking. Her legs and arms shrank into her round, metal form, and she herself began to shrink. When she was the proper size, jno bigger than a tennis ball, she realised the transformation was complete. She was a Poke Ball. She struggled, but all she could do was wiggle on the spot form left to right, as if a Pokemon was trying to break out of her. Her insides were gone, replaced by a sensational technology and an empty feeling.
"You got turned into a Poke Ball?" Ash said to her. Dawn was unable to reply, but she could still see Ash pick her up. "Well, as much as I'm going to miss having you around, you just saved me 200 Poke Dollars!"
Dawn mentally shouted in frustration, even though nobody could hear it. "How could you? Ash Ketchum, put me down right this instant!"
But Ash could not hear her. "I'm sure me using you to catch a Pokemon is for the best."
