Chapter #6

Repaying a debt

Without warning, the naga wrapped more of her tail around Rosetta, covering her mouth, before silently slithering away, dragging the helpless girl along. For almost an hour the naga slithered through the forest, eventually coming to the base of a mountain. Without the slightest hint of exertion, the naga pushed aside a fairly large boulder revealing a cave. The naga slithered in, bringing Rosetta in too, before pulling the boulder back into place.


“You’ll be taking my mate’sss place in helping me raise my young onesss.” The naga said as she continued slithering, eventually stopping in a cavern lighted by glowing crystals.

Despite being scared silly, Rosetta was amazed at the beauty of the cave. There were three tunnels leading from the room, the one ahead of them was dark and seemingly forbidden. To their left Rosetta could hear three young voices, two of which she was sure were female. But it was the one to their right that the naga started towards.

“You’ll be sssleeping in my eldessst daughter’sss room. Ssshe’sss old enough to not be corrupted by you ssshould you try to convince her to let you essscape.” The naga said before opening a stone door then shoving Rosetta in.

Rosetta stood up shakily as the naga closed the door and looked around. The only thing of real notice was the naga girl, who looked to be about Rosetta’s age laying on a slightly raised stone bed looking at her.
