A week had passed since the bright light in the night's sky. For the time being, the people of Redwood returned to their everyday lives and continued on like nothing had happened. It wasn't until a strange change in the town's behaviour was when a small handful of people began to notice that something wasn't quite right, at least, for the moment being.
The handful of people who weren't feeling the effects of the regression magic noticed a few odd trends that popped up amongst the community. Odd pieces of clothing, such as diapers, pacifiers and adult-sized baby clothes seemed to be all the rage for some strange reason.
Amongst the craze for baby clothes, an overwhelming number of parents seemed to be rather happy by the sudden fact that their children and teenagers began to openly wear and use diapers in public, loudly praising them and treating them as if they were overgrown toddlers. In addition to that, a large amount of stores seemed to be stocked full of baby items, with diapers, rattles, pacifiers, onesies and much more accompanying them.
A parent who was caught in the middle of this was Rachel Simmons. A single mother living in the centre of town, who saw the sudden changes first-hand as her neighbours and co-workers adapted to a new lifestyle. Her two children, seven-year old daughter Elise and ten-year old Benjamin were also under the effects of the strange infantile fashion. It didn't help that they began to reject their grown-up responsibilities and find themselves slowly attracted to the rest of the town's sudden fascination with baby items.
As much as Rachel wanted to object, seeing as how her children weren't babies, she argued with herself over the fact that there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the sudden desire to wear diapers and act like a toddler. It would be quick, but her desires to accept the baby clothes also seeped into her mind, but reality conflicted with itself, her rejection of accepting Infantilism was getting harder and harder. It felt like she needed to be in control, and maintain her status as an adult in front of her children.
For Rachel and her family, where do we begin? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
