Chapter #6

An empty room and a full stomach

by: evil dude Author IconMail Icon
Betty didn't care if there was somebody else here with her... she needed to get something, anything to eat before she passed out. She hated the idea of being helpless and alone in this school, being hungry too was something she couldn't stand. She passed the assembly room without a second glance and took a good long look at the school lunchroom. It was vast and empty, but provided little cover if a zombie were to find its way inside. The tables were covered in blood and Betty saw what she thought was a severed arm sitting on a chair on the far side of the room. "Guess I better get moving..." She said meekly. "Its better I get some food sooner rather then later." Walking as quietly as she could Betty made her way past the gorey scene. She hadn't noticed before that some of the bloodstains looked like handprints and footprints, but up close their eerieness was unmistakable. Betty tried to ignore all the horrible thoughts that entered her mind with little success. By the time she had made it the kitchen doorway she was shaking. She walked inside without even bothering to check for zombies, thankful that she had at least made here without any trouble. Upon checking the back room she found a few boxes full of snack foods and a case of grape soda. Grape wasn't her favorite flavor, but right now it tasted better then anything she had ever drunk before. After a few minutes of eating snack cakes and chips she got back to her feet feeling much better then before. She was able to fit two bags of chips and some small snack cakes in her pockets along with one can of soda. She still had her spatula, which was soon joined with a small cutting knife that had been on the floor next to the boxes. Not much, but still better then before. Betty left the kitchen feeling a little more hopeful about her chances of survival and headed off to her next destination.

You have the following choices:
