Sandi saw Joe as she quickly came to his car, which was an early 00's, blue Ford with a retractable hood. Since it was such a nice night outside, he decided to keep the hood off, as it was an usually warm 69 degrees this Halloween night. Sandi nearly tripped on top of Joe as she walked around his car to the right car seat in the front.
"Sorry I'm late", the tall woman replied as she got into the car, having a little difficulty putting on her seat belt with her long hands. Joe buckled it up for her.
"No problem, Sandi. You're worth the wait", the bashful boy replied, blushing red before Sandi.
"What do you mean? I'm so klutzy when I'm tall", Sandi sighed as Joe continued to smile at her.
"Nonsense. You look gorgeous, Sandi. Almost look a princess", Joe told the girl as he revved up the car once more, ready to leave the front of out house.
"And I suppose that makes you my prince, waiting to escort me off to the ball?" giggled Sandi. "Let's be off then, Hopkins!"
"Yes, madam", Joe replied in a fake, older voice as he imitated a butler. "We shall be arriving shortly at the party."
Sandi always enjoyed rides with Joe in his car. He was very cautious and alert, always ready to share the road, and was excellent at braking and parallel parking. She's been getting rides with him since she was in high school, and not once did he ask for anything in return.
"Hey, Joe, I just noticed you're not wearing a costume", noted Sandi, looking at Joe's t-shirt and sweatpants.
"Oh, I'm changing at the party."
"Hmm...I'm very curious as to who you're dressed up as."
"You'll know soon enough, Sandi."
Sandi and Joe soon arrived at the party. Joe helped his seven foot tall friend out of the car, herself almost falling on him once again.
"I'm so sorry, Joe. I didn't realize how clumsy I am in high heels."
Joe wanted to say something, but each time he helped her out, he got to touch his secret crush, so he wasn't annoyed at all.
