Across camp, Dart was sitting in his own tent, deep in thought. He had literally just insulted Lord Eliwood, the highest person in the army. What would become of him now? The pirate had been sent here by his own captain in hopes he would be of use to the army. He couldn't let his captain down by being deported back to the ship for misbehavior. As the representative of the ship, Dart had to leave a good impression on Eliwood. Too many people believed that all pirates were horrible village ransacking thieves, and Dart wanted to change that view. Not to mention traveling with Eliwood meant seeing things on land he'd never be able to see on a boat, and to partake in battles that could one day become historic. No, he couldn't risk it. He had to go apologize. Too much was at stake.
Leaving his tent, Dart began hurriedly walking towards Elwood's tent. On his way there he was stopped by a worried looking Lyn, who asked him if anything was wrong. Managing a straight face the pirate replied with, "Everything is fine ma'am" before brushing the blade lord aside and continuing on his way. He had to go fast-Eliwood was probably heading to bed early today, especially since he didn't look so well earlier. It could have been a sickness, or something even worse. Hopefully it was neither and Dart would catch the young lord before he went to bed.
When the pirate slowly peeked into Eliwood's tent, he was surprised by what he found. Or rather, what he didn't find. Eliwood's tent looked completely empty. There was a light on the far side from a burning candle but the Lord's bed looked empty. There was a rough looking sheet on it, but there was no bump underneath it. Where had Eliwood gone? Dart was sure he saw the young lord come in.
Stepping quietly into the tent, Dart took another good look around. It was then he noticed something strange underneath the covers. There was a shape there, but it was too small to have been noticeable from where he was before. It was too small to be a person, in fact it looked like Eliwood had stuffed an small dagger in there.
Dart began to worry. If there was a dagger in there, then someone was out to get Eliwood. Rushing over to the bed the pirate flung the sheets off, expecting to see the shiny metal object. What he saw instead however made his jaw drop right open.
Underneath the sheet was the tiny shrunken figure of Lord Eliwood, laying on his side, sleeping away as if nothing had happened. Dart couldn't do anything but stare. Was he dreaming? How did this happen? And most importantly, what was the pirate going to do now?
