She’d been walking for a while and she hated it. But at the moment it was her only mode of transportation. Having just had a fight with her boyfriend, she needed some space. Especially away from the whole gang scene.
Looking up as she walked the path, she sighed at the normal people around her. People she envied. Sarah was beautiful by most standards, with a white mother and a Hispanic father, she had smooth tan skin and thick dark hair. But her parents had divorced when she was young and her mother struggled to make ends meet. So while Sarah was one of the prettiest girls in school, she was also one of the poorest. Therefore in the group dynamics she tended to gravitate toward those in her same income bracket. And that wound up turning into gangs.
The gang members treated her nice at first, but after a while it became obvious that they just wanted her around for eye candy and a chance to date a hot chick. And with a hot body to match her good looks, the other members of the gang often vied for her, which tended to tick off the other girls in the gang. So after a while Sarah had to fight for friends in the gang and the loyalty of the boys. And after a while, Sarah had learned how to fight viciously for someone who was small and young. The other girls soon left her alone since even at the age of 15, she could kick any other girl’s ass.
But now she had just run off from one of the top members of the gang complaining about his constant groping and demands for sex while at the same time belittling her at every turn. Emotionally fragile, Sarah dressed with minimal clothes, looking like “a little slut” according to her mother. Even today she was wearing a pair of short black boots, a tight very short black skirt and a tight, cleavage bearing black strapless tank top. A few bruises spotted her otherwise luscious skin and taught curves. She dressed that way because that’s how Marcos liked her. But even though he would tell her she looked hot, he’d still call her a whore, or worse. And then he’d follow up by sticking his tongue down her throat.
So Sarah had run off, eventually walking her way to the park, angry, hurt and confused. With her thoughts running between revenge and hopelessness, the apple tree caught her eye. The apples looked inviting, as if they were calling her closer. Reaching the tree she pulled off a nice red one and looked it over, not realizing that due to Dennis’s wish, his ideas for what he would see Sarah become were ready to be transferred to Sarah.
Just as she was about to take a bite, a familiar car skidded around a corner. It was Marcos and three other gang members in their blue convertible. What they didn’t see was the police car sitting in the alley. But for now, Marco’s screached on the breaks and yelled over to Sarah.
“Sarah, you stupid bitch, where the hell do you think you’re going.”
Sarah stomped her foot as others in the park turned toward the scene. “Away from you! And stop calling me a bitch!”
Marcos sat up onto top of the seat. “I’ll call you whatever I want. Now get your ass over here.”
Sarah, nearly shaking with frustration spat back to him. “No! I’m taking a walk. Go to hell!”
Sarah turned away from him and pulled the apple up to mouth as Marcos jumped out of the car. Before he could reach her, Sarah took a bite of the apple and as the juices ran down her throat the effects began immediately. Sarah felt strange. Energized? Empowered? As she chewed and swallowed, she smiled. Whatever it was, it was good. And nothing would ever be the same. For thanks to Dennis and his thoughts about hot, , strong, girl gang members, Sarah was about to become….   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
