Rouge the echidna

Sonic goes up to Rouge and asks if she would want a chance at romance with Knuckles. She agrees then Sonic (somehow) is able to switch Rouge's species with Tikal! Rouge was not thinking this was what sonic had in mind, so she punched him in the face. Rouge the realized, if she was going to get knuckles, she would have to pass as an echidna. What should he go for?
