With the smaller man cradled in his arms, Hank made his move to get to the basement. Many of the patrons were too fixated on the delicious food to notice that a giant marshmallow of a man that was waddling like a mad man through the restaurant. It seemed like no one was going to notice the unconscious John. Everything was going smoothly with this plan for Hank. All he had to do avoid the citation that could lead to his termination were the narrow halls that lead to the basement. It was tough to go past these openings by himself, but with a person in his arms, the problem had intensified. It did not matter to Hank that he faced problems getting to and out of this basement every day at work because this tiny space was all that stood between him in keeping his job.
Staring at the petite space between the walls, Hank took a deep breath as he walked down the hall. His heavy steps echoed through the halls. The noise of the kitchen and his footsteps were dulled by the heat beats that were thumping fast and loud. All of Hank’s concentration was getting down in the basement that he did not notice that the bus boy, named Andy, was coming towards him from the kitchen exit to his right.
