The Beginning

Michelle woke up. It was July 10, 2009. Today was her 16th birthday. She felt quite excited. She could already smell the pancakes.

She could also feel a bit of a pain underneath her pillow. She lifted it up to find what looked like a computerised organizer. There was a note attached.

"Happy Birthday"

There was no return address, nor name of the sender. She picked it up and pressed the button. A red laser shot out of it. She pointed it around the room. She pointed it at herself. The device then lit up to show her her personal details.

Name: Michelle Janice Richards
Height: 4' 10''
Physical birthday: July 10, 1993
Mental birthday: July 10, 1993
Bra size: B
Shoe size: 16

"Ho hum" she thought. She noticed that she could edit it. She thought, "Hm, never thought of myself as a Michelle, more like Liz". She changed her name thusly.

"Liz, time to get up!", she heard her mother calling.
