Because the two women are so physically similar, Moriarty decided there would be little fun in swapping their body parts. No, for something between mother and daughter he needed to do something far more interesting. Quickly, he wired the two women into one of his machines and began making changes to their minds.
Simply swapping their minds would be too easy, and not nearly enough fun. Instead, he focused on swapping their maturity and hobbies. When they woke, Brittany would have the habits and attitudes of a 36 year old stay at home mom. She would find nothing odd about sitting down for the evening to have a drink and unwind, and would gain her mother's obsessive exercise habits, along with her mother's preference for more provocative clothing.
For Linda, she would become more bubbly and care free, interested in spending time with friends, hanging out at the mall and working on her cheer leading. She would lose much of her accumulated wisdom and would see the world much as a high school aged young girl does. She would still feel that she is mother to her children, but she would not have the memories or attitude to understand responsible parenting. Further, while she would still feel that she was married to her husband, her knowledge of sex wouldn't extend beyond casual making out.
Returning the two women to their rooms, Dr. Moriarty sat back to watch the fun.
