"Loretta, as much as I would like to go home at some point, I just can't. I'm going to stay here with you. After all, you saved my life... This is the least I can do for you!"

Loretta started crying with joy. Tanya had to move around in Loretta's hand to avoid the boulder sized tears.

"Oh Tanya, you don't know how much this means to me! I've always wanted to have a friend to talk to... How can I ever thank you?"

"Stop trying to drown me!"

Loretta was confused, but she then opened her eyes to notice Tanya evading her massive tears. She quickly wiped her eyes dry and apologized.

"Oh jeez Tanya, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to..."

"Yeah, I know Loretta... I know... But you need to be a bit more cautious of your size..."

"Okay then... Thanks Tanya"

"Any time, friend! So, how about we sit down and get to know each other better?"

"Okay!"

Loretta then sat down on her bed and positioned Tanya right next to her. They then started talking about their lives.

"So Loretta, how did you get so big? Are you the last member of some long lost clan of giants, or the result of some government experiment, or what?"

"To be completely honest, Tanya, I really don't know... One day I just woke up here on this island, and I was giant sized. I don't have any memories about what my life was like before that, and I can't even remember who my parents were or anything... Your honestly the very first human I've ever met... Or at least as far back as I can remember..."

"Wow... that must have been difficult for you..."

"Yeah, it was at first... But I think that things have gotten better over the years..."

"Well that's good... If you don't mind me asking, why did you save me in the first place?"

"I'm sorry... My reasons were kind of selfish..."

"What do you mean? How could going out of your way to save someone else's life possibly be selfish?"

"Because the only thing I was thinking at the time was 'If I save her, maybe she'll agree to stay here and be my friend...'!"

"Oh come on... That's not selfish! You've been alone on this island for who knows how long! You have every right to want to make at least one friend! I can't begin to say how grateful I am... If it wasn't for you, I'd be at the bottom of the sea with my boat right now!"

"Well... Actually, your boat is right here as well..."

Loretta then pointed to a broken ship on one of her shelves.

"You saved my boat too?!"

"Not really... It was damaged beyond repair by the time I found you... I highly doubt that it will ever function again..."

"Ugh... Well, I figured as much..."

The two then started laughing together.

"So Tanya, what do you want to do now?"

How will Tanya respond?
