To say Steven was still thrown off by everything would be an understatement. Suddenly turning into an Ichigo Kurosaki lookalike was one thing, but he could tell it was much more than a mere costume. He could feel the high levels of spiritual power flowing through him, and the large sword on his back reflected a bit of the room's light across its edge, proving the circumstances before him to be true. What didn't help this however was his sister, who was hugging his leg, red faced and smiling as she squealed with delight, prompting Benjamin to ask what was going on.
"I'll...call you back man. Something just came up."
"Sure Steven, but why does your voice sound-"
And before another word was said, he hung up the phone, and looked at his sister, and sighs. He manages to pry her off his leg with a great deal of effort, and following this, Rachel begins to run around in a rather hyper state.
"ICHIGO IS HERE! HE'S HERE! VISITING ME! EEEEEEEEEE!!"
Steven, or rather, Ichigo, takes a breath and exhales, and looks down to the ground. He was still rather confused about all this, until he saw the necklace from before, still bound around his neck. He blinks, and begins to connect the dots a bit...the necklace he found, he did feel it was rather special...is this what it could do? What else could be done with it? Before he could ponder further, his sister comes up to him, and begins to speak a mile a minute. With this, Ichigo stomps his foot.
"Alright, slow down a bit. Calm down, and ask whatever you want, okay?"
"Okay...okay...." She takes a breath, before looking up at the Ichigo that stands before her, and asking "How did you get here? And where did you come from? And...where's my brother, now that I think about it?"
"Well..." He pauses, searching his mind desperately for anything he could remember about the anime, searching for any excuse he could find to explain everything that just happened, without bringing the necklace into it, because he knew it would be a bad idea to tell Rachel about that. And after a minute, it comes to him.
"...I was always a Soul Reaper, from Soul Society. Not only that, but...I am still your brother! Yeah, my normal body...it's just a Gigai. Sure, they don't look alike, but...that just helps disguise me, you know?"
At this point, he was just praying for her to buy the story, just so he could just go to his room and sort this out, but then she wasn't done with her questions.
"What about the anime? Why are you named Ichigo there? And where are your friends?"
"They're...chilling in Japan, in their Gigai. And in Soul Society too...the anime is just us making money off our adventures, really...heck, the only reason I'm here is because of the Hollow threat rising here."
He begins to leave the room, hoping that was enough, but...
"Hmm...if all that's true...then make me a Soul Reaper, big bro! I wanna help with the hollow stuff! Please please please???"
She looks at him, eyes wide and demanding, as he walks up to her and shakes his head.
"I don't know how, Rachel...hell, I don't know if that's even possible..."
"Rukia made you you a soul reaper by sharing some energy with you, and with me seeing you and all, I have to have some spiritual power! So come on, pleeeeaaaaasssssseeee?"
He lets out a reluctant sigh, and puts his hand on Rachel's head, with her squealing in delight.
"What's the worst that can happen with this, anyways?"
As he begins to imagine his spiritual energy flowing into her, his necklace begins to faintly glow, as his sister's mortal body quickly falls to the ground and a flash of light envelops the room. His sister now stands in the room, wearing the iconic black kimono, holding a shining, yet small katana in her hands, as she excitedly quivers with a smile on her face.
"OH...MY...GOD...I'M A SOUL REAPER!!!"
And with that shout of joy, she hastily makes her dashing exit out the nearest window, running and jumping with grace and style as she leaves her brother to clean up the mess of both her mortal body, and the mischief the necklace has caused.
Where should the story go next?
