Your pregnant mother

Your pregnant mother was standing looking at the guillotine with the expression of "what is this doing here" on her face.
You explain to her where you got it and what it does.
"But I haven't been able to test it yet" you say.
Your mother ponders and then says "Well give it a go then."
You think "ok" and climb into the stocks so that the the blade will sever you just about the belly.
Your mother waddles over and flips the switch and the blade flies down, hits you, and you feel no pain what so ever.
"Whoa" you exclaim, as your legs walk around and you lift your torso up using your arms.
Your mother is standing there just as amazed as you are.
"You have to give this a go mum" you say.
She thinks about it, and then decides to...
