"Hey, what are you doing?" she cries as you shove head in the stocks. "I'm telling Mom that you did this. You know she's going to ask where you got an ancient French guillotine from."
"Geez, lighten up. I was only kidding around," you say, moving your hand away from the cord.
"Well you have a very sick way of showing it," Emily snaps. She tries to open the stocks but they won't budge. "Hey, help me out here."
"Okay,I'll go get a crowbar." You walk over to where your dad keeps his tools and dig around till you find what you need. You try to pry apart the stocks as best you can. You try so hard that the crowbar slips from your hands and you fall backwards. You reach out for something to keep yourself up, but the only thing you manage to grab was the pull cord for the guillotine. The blade comes falling down and you see Emily's head fall to the floor. You rush over and pick her head up crying that you were sorry, not noticing the lack of blood. You pick up her head and stare at her face not believing she was gone, when suddenly she opens her eyes.
"Ian, what are you doing, did you get me out? Wait, who's that in the guillotine now?"
"Ummm sis....." you're not sure what to tell her.
"Let go of me so I can see who it is," Emily demands not knowing that she's just a head now. You place her on a table and walk over to the stocks and pull her body out. Her headly self just slides out now and it stands up. Suddenly she screams.
"Emily, we'll try to fix this. Something has to work, it just has to," you say as you place a hand on her shoulder.
"Oh my god, I felt that."
"Felt what?" you ask.
"Your hand. Touch my arm."
"Okay." You do so and she starts to get excited. "You know what? Put my head on my neck." You do so and are shocked to see her head reconnect.
