Zipping around an impressive display of witch costumes, Tina told herself that things could have been worse. He could have thought that she reminded him of a bunny rabbit or a cat and for the first time since she'd begun to shrink, her lips curved into a smile and a tiny laugh bubbled forth from her throat.
She'd almost reach the front of the store and the old sorcerer - she'd come to the conclusion that he had to be some sort of magic user - when she tore into a spider's web near the ceiling fan, feeling the sticky strands of silk clinging to her arms, legs and wings, making her aware of just HOW very small she'd suddenly become because the spider eyeing her from the corner of its now tattered web looked absolutely HUGE, and it was headed her way on swift-moving legs.
Tina let out a yelp of fear that came out as more of a whimper that she was sure no one else could hear as she struggled in the hold of the web, watching the giant hairy creature approaching her, its mandibles clenching and unclenching as it wobbled closer to her.
