After a few moments, they all began to feel strange. Not dizzy, not sick, not pained, it was an entirely new sensation. Just as Bill began to fear that he really had just poisoned them all, they began to grow. Within seconds, all three of them had outgrown their clothes, and their heads bumped against the ceiling. There were startled cries of fear, but they became all the louder as the growing continued, and the three of them began to break out of the house. They all expected to be crushed against the roof or at least hurt by the falling debris, but they emerged entirely unscathed. They were now twice the size of their ruined house, and staring at the suburbia they called home for a few stunned moments before both boys fearfully clung to their father. Henry's freckled body, with just a bit of baby-fat still clinging to him, was exposed alongside Matt's more athletic form. Bill was no Adonis, but he was still in good shape for a man his age, and he reflexively hugged both boys to him as he looked around. Oddly, he didn't feel at all afraid. Instead, he chuckled. Matt and Henry looked up at their father, confused.
"Don't worry, boys..." He rubbed their shoulders, and their fear faded in the face of his confidence. "It's fine. Just a... growth spurt, you could say. Let's make the best of it, alright?"
